How we started

In Samsung's visual display lab, our core products are Samsung TV platforms and services. Besides working on existing products, we also have an incubation team proposing concepts for new TV scenarios through study trends and research. Back in 2019, the incubation team were focused on wellness area and found that roughly 80% of US adults still do not get the recommended level of physical activity according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report.

Top 3 pain points include:

1. Lack of time and motivation such as don't want to exercise alone

2. Inconvenience

3. Expense inhibit people from working out more

Our goal is to assist the 80% of US adults with not enough exercise to live healthier lives. For the 20% of adults who already have regular exercise habits, we expect to augment their fitness and mindfulness journey by offering a convenient and accessible platform to continue their habits.

Opportunity

By reviewing the fitness history and trends, the team discovered unmet needs from current market and opportunities include:
